Oprah Winfrey recently reacted to reports saying Rihanna has rekindled her relationship with Chris Brown by stressing her support for Rihanna.
Oprah said she wasn’t sure if the reconciliation rumors were true, but she supports the “We Found Love” singer and her own life decisions. “I think that if she is prepared to deal with that and is prepared to help him help himself then so be it. I have no judgment about it. That’s why I can sit there and have such a great time with her because I do all my interviews with no judgment whatsoever. If that’s how you choose to lead your life, that’s really okay.”
The talk-show maven chatted with the Barbadian beauty during an open and emotional interview in August, during which Ri-Ri revealed that her own father had been physically abusive toward her mother.
“You know what I loved about that interview is that she came with a big wide open heart,” Oprah added, “and that she was in the space of forgiveness. And that she learned a lesson that she was repeating with Chris Brown—exactly what she needed to learn from her father.”
Last week, the volatile ex-couple sparked talk of a reconciliation after they were spotted making out at a New York City club. A day later, they lit up a Jay-Z concert together in Brooklyn, where they were seen getting cozy with each other.
Romance rumors ramped up even more after Brown later announced that he had split with girlfriend Karrueche Tran, saying, “I don’t want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna.”
