Moore’s Ford Bridge Lynchings Activities Start July 14

The Moore’s Ford Bridge Prayer Vigil to pray for the guilty parties responsible for the lynching massacre of two couples, will be held at the Walton County Courthouse on Main Street in Monroe, Ga., on Saturday, July 14, from noon until 1 p.m. On Wednesday, July 25, there will be a news conference at the statue of Gov. Eugene Talmadge, who was instrumental in getting the KKK lynch mob that murdered the Dorseys and the Malcolms.

On Saturday, July 28, the Annual Reenactment will be held at noon starting at the 1st African Baptist Church on Tyler Street. The actual reenactment will end up at the Moore’s Ford Bridge, where the lynchings occurred.
