Deltas Host Hatters Scholarship Luncheon, April 30
The Atlanta Suburban Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta hosted the ninth Mad Hatters Scholarship Luncheon and Fashion Show on Saturday, April 30, 2011. The doors opened at 11 a.m. at the Atlanta Hilton Airport located at 1031 Virginia Ave., Atlanta, 30354. The luncheon started at noon.
The Mad Hatters Scholarship Luncheon and Fashion Show is the signature fundraising event for the chapter, and proceeds are used to provide book and tuition scholarships for aspiring college female freshmen. Madame Butterfly, aka Constance Boothe, presented this year’s fashions, along with hats from “It’s Unforgettable” owned by Jeanette Gist. Also, the Wings of Delta presented a concert Sunday, May 1, at Zion Hill Baptist Church, corner of Lynhurst and Benjamin E. Mays Drives. Both events were well attended.
