Prosecutors must prove that R&B singer R. Kelly produced and possessed the videotape of allegedly a teenage girl and him having sex.
They must also prove that the alleged victim was under age, the music star’s lead attorney told a potential juror Wednesday and the previous day. Ed Genson, lead counsel for the 41-year-old Olympia Fields resident, said also at issue is proving the tape is child pornography. Prosecutors could not comment on Genson’s statements. Attorneys for both sides must adhere to a gag order concerning the case.
