Falcons Star Sean Weatherspoon Provides 'SPOONful of Hope' For Families in Need

Falcons linebacker Sean Weatherspoon stepped off the gridiron to bring some joy to 10 Atlanta-area families in need.

The families joined Weatherspoon and his SPOONful of Hope Foundation for a celebration at the World of Coca-Cola to start the holiday season.

The families, selected by Weatherspoon and the foundation through an application process, had the opportunity to spend the day with Weatherspoon during a Domino's Pizza party and participate in some exercise drills with the gridiron veteran. They also go to accompany him on a tour of the World of Coca-Cola, a destination that has welcomed guests from six continents, more than 75 countries and all 50 U.S. states plus the District of Columbia.

"To know that I have an actual opportunity to help these people after all they've been through makes me feel good about myself and I feel really, really blessed to be able to give back to them," said Weatherspoon.

Sponsors of the celebration include Domino's Pizza, 790 The Zone and Coca-Cola.
