T.D. Jakes & Joel Osteen Launch Largest Inspirational Festival

More than 50,000 attendees from some 40 countries are expected to descend upon Dallas for MegaFest 2013, hosted by T.D. Jakes, from August 29 to 31.

The three-day festival is making its triumphant return to the United States for the first time since 2006 and will be held at the Dallas Convention Center, American Airlines Center and other venues throughout the city. This supersized event marries four of Jakes' most popular conferences: ManPower, Woman Thou Art Loosed, MegaYouth and MegaKidz with a plethora of entertainment, business and other inspirational features for the entire family.

Joel and Victoria Osteen will headline the event along with Jakes. Other nationally known speakers and guests include Bishop I. V. Hilliard, Dr. Jasmin Sculark, Dr. Marvin Sapp, Pastor Sheryl Brady, Dr. E. Dewey Smith and Pastor Chris Durso. Dubbed 'America's largest inspirational festival,' leading voices of faith, commerce and entertainment will headline MegaFest. The event will draw men, women and youth with real-world messages of hope and purpose.

"Big things happen in Dallas! We're serving up a Texas-sized inspirational festival, unlike anything this region has ever seen or experienced before," said Jakes. "We are taking ManPower and Woman Thou Art Loosed to a new level, and people that have attended any of our signature events in the past will be blown away by the life changing experience we've got in store for them at MegaFest 2013."

Affirmation: I Will Be Kind To Myself

You can not be kind to others if you are not kind to yourself.

Decide that today is the day that you will be kind to yourself.

Everybody has self-talk or self-chatter. Sometimes it is positive and sometimes it is negative (or very negative). Do you say things to yourself such as: “you idiot” or “how could you do that?” Do you say things to yourself that you wouldn’t say to others? Is what you say to yourself kind?

Today is the day that you will say:

I Will Be Kind To Myself.

When one of those ugly thoughts or self inflicted wounding words come to mind stop it.

Remember to forgive yourself. Forgiving yourself is kind. Forgiving others is kind

In our society, we often equate self-esteem with high performance.  In contrast to this belief, our teen suicide rate has climbed in recent years.  Some of our suicides are kids who were high performers in school and had a setback.  High performance is not the requirement for self-esteem.  In fact, many high performers suffer from anxiety and depression. Do not let those exterior things define you.

Mary Mary's Tina Asks For Prayers in Wake of Husband's Infidelity

Tina of Mary Mary has had some soul searching days.

She has posted the following message:

Hi fans and friends. It’s Tina. I hope all of you are well and I thank you for all the love and support you’ve shown my sister and I over the years.

Well,  I’m actually writing you on behalf of my husband Teddy and I. I’m assuming that many of you have seen or heard about our article in Ebony that discussed the challenges of overcoming infidelity in our marriage. Well since the article, the challenges have worsened. My hope turned into hopelessness & despair and I became unwilling to forgive and fight, until God showed me myself.

My husband’s struggle, was with sexual immorality BUT I have struggled with anger, rage, unforgiveness, pride, just to name a few, for over 2 decades. The devil wanted to use strongholds that took hold of our lives in our childhood, to remain and destroy us as adults. So now instead of being mad at each other we’re mad at the devil and we’re ready to fight.

Today we began a 30 day fast (May 24th-June 22nd) for complete deliverance & restoration. If u are able to, please fast and/or pray daily that God would answer our prayers and give us a deeper love & commitment to him and to each other. We believe he still works miracles and he can give us the greatest marriage we could have ever imagined. We can pray alone BUT your prayers will certainly help.

Some Scriptures To Target Your Prayer

2 Chronicles 7:14

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

James 5:16

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.”

Thanks in advance. Talk to you in 30 days.
