Lifestyles Report …The first time

Our third night, I got to pick the type of food and I wanted to do Chinese. It was recommended that we go to a place called Huhot Mongolian Grill. Not quite Chinese, but close enough. This was a real interesting buffet. You pick a bowl and then fill the bottom with frozen meat: pork, chicken, scrimp, meatballs or sausage. Then you add your noodles and vegetables and finally you add about six to nine ladles of sauce. There are about nine to select from. Then you take your bowl to an area where your bowl is put on a hot griddle and they cook your food very much like they do if you were to go to a Japanese steakhouse. If you stay in line the way they tell you to, the right ingredients will come back to you. I was impressed with the concept and enjoyed the experience. It is an all you can eat restaurant and the meal is about $14.  I looked the restaurant up and see that most locations are in the mid-west. There are a few in the south. It seems very popular.
Even though we were on business we had a great time. We found a Dairy Queen nearby and went there twice; it was a great way to top off a meal. We also found a business that sold life size horses, bison and cows, and we saw a stuffed monkey in the window. This location made for some good photos to post on Facebook. I’ll be back next month with another list of firsts.
