Bikers Ride raises funds for Arthritis Foundation

BIKERS RIDE—RiverRide100, an annual bike ride fundraiser for the Arthritis Foundation, has been transformed from a small, local event into one that people all over the country can participate. By pledging to ride the mileage that fits their fitness level or personal goal, participants have the opportunity explore their surroundings by bike—which is a great low-impact activity for people with arthritis or joint pain—while also raising money for a great cause. The event is free for participants and will be held throughout the entire month of August. A group of the original event founders will also complete its annual 106-mile bike ride from Rockwood, Pa., to Point State Park in downtown Pittsburgh on August 20.
