The sound of thunder and blowing rain did not dampen the spirits of the members and friends of St Paul and Christ Temple AME Churches in McKeesport recently as they gathered at Unity Park on Bailie Avenue for their annual Rib Festival.
Their focus, to simply share their love and concerns for the safety of their community.

Acknowledging the issues of violence, encouraging the young people in fundamental values and being proactive about solutions to create cohesive neighborhoods is important for the church according to coordinator Paul Waite.
Plans for an Occupational Learning Center for the community are currently being discussed.
