It’s as gripping as Ralph Ellison’s 1952 fictional book ‘The Invisible Man’ but the only difference is this appears to be real. In the video, a white man talks about Black people’s enslavement throughout history.

I was on the red line Tuesday, headed northbound to attend the screening of 40 Blocks – an oral history of East Garfield Park’s residents – at the Chicago Historical Society, which by the way was done well with one exception. The train had just pulled into the station at Roosevelt Road, and it was about 6:10 pm, when all of a sudden, out of nowhere, it hit me like a ton of bricks.
The train was full of mostly young white professional men. That’s odd I thought to myself, so I pulled out my camera and began to record. See for yourself.
