NBA superstar Kevin Durant is being torched on social media for jumping ship from the Oklahoma City Thunder and joining the Golden State Warriors.
Durant left OKC after eight seasons as a four-time scoring champ and one of the league’s premiere players. Already, comparisons to LeBron James’ “Decision” debacle are coming up, when James left the Cleveland Cavs to join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in South Beach to play for the Miami Heat.
Durant is also being labeled a hypocrite. Six years ago, Durant told the media that stars should not want to join the big market teams, but to try to beat them. Yet, Durant is leaving to join the team that big market team that beat him in the Western Conference Finals, 4-games-3, after the Thunder had their foot on the jugular of the Warriors with a 3-1 series lead, but couldn’t close the deal.
