ATLANTA — Pete Thuresson has recently been named Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships for the Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club. In this role he will oversee all corporate partnership sales and service efforts for the Atlanta Hawks and Philips Arena.  An industry veteran with over 20 years of sports marketing experience, Pete will lead the group in creating and executing innovative platforms for the team to generate mutually-beneficial partnerships for the club.

“We are thrilled to welcome Pete into our organization to lead our dynamic corporate partnership group,” said Hawks Executive Vice President & Chief Revenue Officer Andrew Saltzman. “He has an impressive track record of developing exciting and successful programs for business partners that yield measurable results and superior fan engagement.”

Prior to joining the Hawks’ executive team, Thuresson served as Vice President of Corporate Partnerships for the Los Angeles Clippers. Over the course of his career, Thuresson has worked with organizations in the NBA, MLB, NASCAR, Premier League, NHL, NBA, NCAA, Triple-A Baseball, Double-A Baseball and the AHL.

Thuresson began his career working for the Arizona Diamondbacks’ Single-A affiliate High Desert Mavericks, where he became the youngest General Manager in Minor League Baseball.  Seeing an opportunity to aggregate the vast network of Minor League properties across the country, Thuresson founded Professional Sports Network, which sold integrated marketing solutions to national brands for more than 100 properties.
