It was an afternoon delight recently as the family and members of Potters House Ministries gathered on the Gateway Clipper to celebrate the 60th Birthday of their Pastor, Bishop Otis L. Carswell.

The celebrants cheered and applauded as Stevie Wonder’s rendition of “Happy Birthday to Ya” was sung as the Guest Of Honor descended from the upper deck of the ship. Many neighboring Pastors and lifelong friends joined in with Bishop Carswells’ mother, Sarah Carswell as they shared their gifts, sentiments, history and joy of knowing Bishop Carswell from his post military years to his beginnings in Ministry. A special birthday greeting and Proclamation from Pittsburgh’s Mayor Bill Peduto was presented by Bishop Loran Mann. The setting sun on Pittsburgh’s scenic 3 Rivers created a golden backdrop as the dancing continued throughout the evening.
