Just to give you a sliver of a clue into the mindset of Republican presumptive nominee Donald Trump, and lack of scruples or moral compass, this man actually had the gall to plan a show that would have pit blacks versus whites in an installment of “The Apprentice” about a decade ago.
According to Telegraph UK, The Donald was voicing strange ideas not inconsistent with some of the views and stances he has articulated within this presidential season.
Donald Trump has voiced support for a lot of strange and wacky ideas, from which celebrity couples should break up to building walls to keep out Mexicans.
However, one old idea has come back to haunt him – and to prove he hasn’t just been saying odd things to stir up publicity for his presidential campaign.
In 2005, he floated the controversial idea of having a ‘blacks versus whites’ season of The Apprentice.
He said on his radio show that he had “an idea that is fairly controversial — creating a team of successful African-Americans versus a team of successful whites. Whether people like that idea or not, it is somewhat reflective of our very vicious world.”
Trump acknowledged that “Not everybody thinks it’s a good idea” at the time, but that didn’t stop him publicising the racially-segregated season idea.
