A second Atlanta-area educator has been either suspended or terminated for posting rabidly racist remarks on social media within the past week.

Forsyth County high school principal Gary Davidson has been placed “on leave,” with assistant principal Pam Bibik as the interim principal, Forsyth County Schools Superintendent Jeff Bearden said in a statement Thursday, according to the AJC.

Bearden said he met with Davison concerning posts seen as racially divisive and disparaging on Davison’s personal Facebook page. The contents of Davison’s statements in question were not immediately made public.

“As a result of that meeting, (Davison) has been places on a temporary leave of absence,” Bearden said. “He acknowledges and recognizes the damage his personal posts have done to his position as the leader of Lambert HS and commits to addressing those concerns.”

Davison, in a statement, offered a mea culpa and alleges that he has learned a lesson about sharing on social media.

“I offended many individuals and embarrassed our school,” he said. “I am committed to regaining our community’s trust.”
