Powerball winner Marie Holmes has quickly become an infamous and pathetic example of how money falling in the wrong hands can wreck havoc on all lives associated with them.
Holmes, who attained national fame when this unsophisticated and uncouth Shallotte, N.C. woman won $127 million in the lottery, almost immediately became the subject of widespread scorn, ridicule and mockery when she spent millions of her winnings continuously bailing out her incorrigible boyfriend, the degenerate criminal Lamarr “Hot Sauce” McDow. The boyfriend kept returning to jail on drug and weapons-related charges.
Now Holmes is facing criminal prosecution of her own. According to reports, McDow has been using the money that Holmes has given him to buy sex with a bevy of women all over town, and the insanely jealous and pitifully insecure Holmes has gone after one of the woman that McDow allegedly purchased sex from — instead of confronting McDow for his serial infidelities and drug habits.
The woman in question, Lorna Marlowe, is the object of Holmes’ ire. Holmes is accused of making terroristic threats and phone calls on January 10, 2016 to Marlowe, threatening bodily harm on the woman.
A Facebook video has emerged showing a woman unleashing a stream of vulgarities and profanity at Holmes as she explains that “Hot Sauce” uses money Holmes gives him to buy sex from neighborhood women. The unidentified woman further disparaged Holmes as an insecure woman and even went so far as to call some of these women to find out if her man was cheating.
Holmes is now been order to appear in court on February 12 to answer the criminal complaint or face contempt charges.
