State Rep. Ed Gainey understands the meaning to the question, “What’s Christmas without a party?”
Last month, Gainey held his annual colossal neighborhood Christmas celebration for citizens living in his district, Homewood and the surrounding East End area, at the Greater Pittsburgh Coliseum.
His goal, which was to say “thanks to the community for their support as well as inspire neighborhood pride,” was achieved with catered soul food, music provided by DJ Louie Bates and many giveaways.
There were raffles, toys and gift certificates that were all donated by local businesses, corporations, and churches, and added to the success of the event.
