DRIVEN: A Tribute to Multicultural Achievement in the Automotive Industry to Take Place during the North American International Auto Show
Detroit- January 8, 2016- DRIVEN: A Tribute to Multicultural Achievement in the Automotive Industry will recognize Lear Corporation for its outstanding commitment to Detroit’s inner city. Lear recently announced its plans to establish a new innovation and product design center in downtown Detroit’s Capitol Park district. The move, which will be completed later this year and is expected to create 150 new jobs in Detroit. Lear Corporation’s president, CEO and director, Matthew Simoncini will be on hand to accept the award as Automotive Company of the Year.
DRIVEN: A Tribute to Multicultural Achievement in the Automotive Industry is a publication dedicated to celebrating the extraordinary accomplishments and achievements of industry luminaries, will be unveiled in conjunction with the North American International Auto Show on Jan. 13 6 p.m. at the Garden Theater in Detroit.
“This year, for the first time we will recognize trailblazers within the automotive industry who have set the standard of excellence and continue to inspire future generations. News of Lear Corporation’s recent investments in the City of Detroit’s downtown, as well as the news that the corporation is paving the way along with other suppliers to create a manufacturing hub is, in our view, no small feat. It demonstrates the kind of corporate leadership that we think should be recognized and applauded,” said chief executive officer of Real Times Media, Hiram E. Jackson.
 
Held during the NAIAS, the DRIVEN unveiling event attracts hundreds of high profile automotive executives, civic, business and community leaders who use the publication as an information and reference tool.  This year’s unveiling event will be emceed by Fox 2’s Roop Raj. Celebrity DJ and Grammy Award-winning artist and producer Jermaine Dupri will host the afterglow immediately after the program.
