Kwanzaa Celebrations Every Day at “The Wright” Museum

The African-American tradition of Kwanzaa was created by Dr. Maulana Karenga, established as a means to help African Americans reconnect with their African culture and historic heritage. During this seven-day holiday, the Charles Wright Museum will unite and celebrate the seven principles of Kwanzaa. There will be African drumming, dancing, poetry among other performances to celebrate each of the seven principles.

These events are FREE and open to the public except for Friday, January 1, which has an admission price. To purchase tickets click here!
