Thousands participate in Pittsburgh Heart Walk

FAMILY AND FRIENDS—The Pittsburgh Heart Walk was held at Heinz Field. Halloween costumes, adults, kids and pets were encouraged to participate. More than 13,000 people took steps to improve their heart health. Heart and stroke survivors, friends and family members of all ages, along with community and corporate teams from local companies participated in the non-competitive 5K (three-mile) walk along Pittsburgh’s North Shore. Heart disease is the No. 1 cause of death in the world.
