It is said that a person who is considered a legend is famous or important because they’ve done something extremely well. It is also said that a legacy is a gift or heritage bequeathed or transferred.
The legend of attorney Burrell Brown, of Clairton, and his legacy was emphasized and acknowledged at the State Capital in Harrisburg. The House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania honored the memory of Brown by presenting a Condolence Resolution to his wife, Anita, and an entourage of family members.
Brown was a tenured professor of business at California State University of Pennsylvania where he taught classes and conducted research in the areas of ethics, law and labor relations until his untimely death earlier this year.
A respected union leader, he served the Association of Pennsylvania State College and University Faculties in numerous capacities and was affiliated with numerous other civic, professional and church organizations.
