Notorious BIG, one of the greatest, most revered and most prolific rappers in hip hop history, is being resuscitated through the ultimate artistic tribute.
COOGI brand partnered with PURE Atlanta and One Grand Gallery for “Ready
2 Die,” a tribute to the legacy of the late, legendary Notorious BIG, aka “Biggie Smalls” and the relaunch of COOGI on Thursday, Oct 22nd.
Lizzie Pure, owner of PURE Atlanta, said the collaboration was perfect for
the store because of her longtime love-affair with the musical genre.
“I’m a hip hop enthusiast and PURE has always supported the hip hop community.
Doing this event with COOGI allowed us to be a part of the brand’s re-launch and I loved the idea of connecting with the art community,” Pure says.

The event consisted of selected pieces of art honoring the late Notorious BIG on display at PURE. Several guests purchased artwork which was managed by One Grand Gallery.
“Ready 2 Die,” which, of course, is named after Biggie’s groundbreaking, genre-defining debut album that catapulted him into stratosphere, welcomed an eclectic mix of Atlanta’s art, fashion and hip hop community. Celeb guests and others flowed through to help bless the proceedings including “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta’s” Scrappy, C Bone, “Love and Hip Hop’s” Primadonna, celebrity stylist & art enthusiast Renaldo Nehemiah, super producer Brian Michael Cox and many more. Guests enjoyed COOGI inspired strawberries and PURE cupcakes from Black Diamond Edibles and were serenaded by a live brand playing various interpretations of trap music.
