Rap impresario Master P unloaded on Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, calling him a “phony” for acting like he care about Lamar Odom now that he is comatose with very little chance of survival.
He also intimated that the Kardashians rushing to the hospital in Las Vegas is for publicity only.
The rapper boss told TMZ that Bryant could have used his clout to get the troubled forward back on the Lakers if he wanted to at a time when Bryant practically owned the team and was the de facto general manager who had a major hand in recruiting personnel. Instead, Master P said, Kobe did nothing.
Master P said he became “like a mentor” to Odom and drove him to the Clippers team because he knew Odom wanted to get back into the NBA.
“If Kobe was his friend  … Kobe, like, owns the team. He could’ve got the man back on the team … that’s all he wanted.”
P also said the NBA “blackballed” Odom for being gullible enough to appear on the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” becuase he believes the NBA wanted nothing to do with that family. He says Odom could not have possibly comprehended what he was getting into when he married Khloe Kardashian.
He said this should serve as a warning for the likes of superstar Houston Rockets James Harden and others about how they go about their personal lives.
