Audraine Jackson, Jackson Communications along with Si-Man Baby from Majic 107.5/97.5 will honor first responders from the city of Atlanta on Friday, September 11, 2015.
Jackson is founder of the September 11th First Responders Appreciation Program with 2015 marking the 14th consecutive year recognizing the bravery and contributions of first responders. This year’s program will honor slain Officer Terence Avery Green who was shot and killed from ambush as he responded to reports of shots fired inside a house at a subdivision in south Fulton County.
A special recognition event for Officer Green will take place with the Fulton County Police Department at the Southwest Arts Center. The program will then move to the Atlanta Police Department’s Zone 4, Atlanta Fire Rescue Station 25, Mays, Station 9, Adamsville, Station 31, Ben Hill and concluding at Station 5, Campbellton. Each program begins with a brief prayer in memory of those who lost their lives in our nation’s 9-11 attack.
Local first responders who put their lives on the line to protect our community are recognized, thanked and presented food gifts.  Attendees to this year’s program include Fulton County Chair John Eaves, Atlanta City Council President Ceasar Mitchell, Atlanta City Councilman Michael Julian Bond and personalities from Radio One Atlanta.
