ATLANTA — An inside National Football League source says that Mercedes-Benz has secured the naming rights to the new downtown Atlanta Falcons football stadium.

WSBTV.com has learned that a deal has been reached between the Falcons and the automaker.
Mercedes-Benz had already announced earlier this year that the company is moving its U.S. headquarters from its longtime home in New Jersey to the suburban Atlanta town of Sandy Springs.
Details about the rights have not been released, but could come in a news conference as early as Monday.
The nearly $1.5 billion retractable roof stadium is expected to open in 2017.
