Metro Atlanta cop indicted for beating black homeowner

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. —  As the urbanites and the Justice Department fight incessantly to eradicate the deplorable string of black citizens being beaten, tortured and killed by white police officers unjustifiably, a former Georgia police officer in the south Atlanta suburbs was indicted on simple battery charges when he brutalized a homeowner after they were called to the scene on burglary charges.
A Clayton County grand jury indicted Ryan Hall and he was fired by the department after cell phone video proved he told lies on a police report. When officers were dispatched to the home, it was later learned that it was just Dhoruba Bin-Wahad, 69, moving into his new home.
Despite this knowledge, coupled with the fact that the black man made no aggressive moves, nor was he uncooperative with officers, he was beaten and thrown against the brick house. When he thought he was not being recorded on a cellphone video, Hall lied in his police report that Bin-Wahad was uncooperative.
The video tell a very different story.
Cellphone footage shows Hall slamming Binwahad to the brick ground.
“They can watch the video and see that he was brutalized,” attorney Mawuli Davis told WSB-TV.
Hall, who has since been terminated since the video was shown to his superiors, is now unemployed and now facing a simple battery charge.
Hall’s bond was set at $2,000.
“I don’t think he understands the full significance of what he did, and he probably believes in his mind that he was right,” Bin-Wahad said told WSB.
