Man posing as Atlanta rapper rapes and robs women

rapper rapes women

An Alabama man has been arrested after posing as an Atlanta rapper in order to recruit women to commit sexual assault against them and rob them, the media has learned.
The man, ironically named Aaron Hall, 20, is now in custody after authorities state he allegedly set up a fake Facebook profile under the name of popular musician Issa Thompson, Fox 5 Atlanta reported. Hall would then allegedly use this FB platform and fake status as a prominent musician to lure his female victims into his sick, violent trap.
Once Hall met withe the unsuspecting female victims, he would overpower them and rape them, and he also robbed one of them, police told the media.
The irony in his name comes from the fact that he shares the same name as legendary R&B group GUY’s lead singer Aaron Hall. GUY and their producer Teddy Riley came to fame in the 1980s and is responsible for revolutionizing urban music through the introduction of a form of musicianship called “New Jack Swing.”
The suspect rapist Aaron Hall’s plans to rape another women was foiled on Wednesday as investigators intercepted a meeting with a woman Hall was communicating with and was going to meet him at Kentuck Park. Hall lived near the park and police apprehended him.
Hall, who is believed to have sexually assaulted other women, is now in the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office. He is being charged with rape, two counts of sodomy, and robbery.
Investigators are asking anyone else who may have been duped by this man posing as Issa Thompson to reach out to the Tuscaloosa Metro Homicide Unit at 205-464-8690.
