DULUTH, Ga. — Speaking to the media for the first time in weeks, Bobbi Kristina Brown’s father, Bobby Brown, reiterated his desire to see justice done as it relates to his daughter’s grim medical condition.
Bobbi Kristina, aka “Krissy” or “Bobbi Kris,” has been taken off of life support and transported to a hospice center in the north Atlanta suburbs in order to live out her final hours or days as the family have given up pretty much all hope of any recovery from the irreparable and severe brain damage she suffered.
Bobby Brown, meanwhile, wants answers as to what caused Bobbi Kristina’s hospitalization in the first place nearly six months ago. She was found face down and unconscious in a bathtub full of water on Jan. 31 in the metro Atlanta townhouse she shared with “brother-turned-boyfriend” Nick Gordon. She never regained consciousness again and had been in a medically-induced coma since that fateful day.
“I am making decisions with Pat Houston, and we are working together for the medical care of my daughter,” Brown said in a statement to ABC News. “Right now, we are focused on Bobbi Kristina’s medical prognosis and the criminal investigation. These are the priorities for us. Whoever had a hand in causing my daughter’s injuries needs to be brought to justice.”
Bobby’s sister, Leolah Brown, said in a social media posting last week, that Pat Houston, who once served as Whitney Houston’s manager, wanted Bobbi Kristina to had been taken off life support months ago and die in order to inherit her late mother’s fortune. She also claimed Pat was not allowed near her niece, “per Bobbi Kristina’s request.”
In the days that followed her scandalous accusations, Bobby Brown released a statement in which he alluded to his sister’s repeated public remarks about his daughter as a “side-show.”
“Unless you hear it directly from me or through my attorney, do not believe any words attributed to me,” Bobby Brown said. “I do not have time for the frequent side shows that others choose to engage in almost on a daily basis.”
Pat Houston is the wife of Whitney Houston’s brother Gary. She is also the executor of the music legend’s estate.
