During the second half of the season and for most of the playoffs, the Cleveland Cavalier’s reserve guard J.R. Smith had been considered a prized treasure acquisition from the New York Knicks.
But in the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors, Smith has not only been missing in action offensively, he has committed some of the dumbest and most untimely fouls on defense.
Smith’s shooting woes continued, going 2-for-12 from the field, including an eye-popping 0-for-8 from behind the 3-point line as he gave LeBron James no help whatsoever and the Cavs were blown out of their own building by the Golden State Warriors in Game 4, 102-81. 
The series is now tied at two games apiece heading back to Oakland, Calif.
Social media can be a cruel space following a bad outing, and they let Smith have it.
