Twenty-nine years and continuing strong as bishop of the Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Western Pennsylvania Church Of God In Christ was the focus of the Gala Dinner celebrating Bishop Melvin E. Clark Sr.
This annual event always held on the first Monday of May, is an anticipated and well attended affair enjoyed by the Aliquippa Church In The Round members as well as the Church Of God In Christ Pittsburgh community.
Guest speaker
The celebration was highlighted by the skillful sounds of special guest gospel violinist Eric Taylor, who brought the crowd to their feet in praise, and by the encouraging words spoken by guest speaker Bishop Phillip Aquilla Brooks II, prelate of the Northeast Jurisdiction of Michigan COGIC.

Bishop Brooks is also the first assistant to presiding Bishop Charles Blake of the Churches Of God In Christ International.

The anniversary celebration was held at the Sheraton Pittsburgh Airport Hotel.
