On Women’s Day, General Supervisor of the Dept Of Women Mother Willie Mae Rivers officially installed Wilma Beauford, PhD, as the state supervisor of Women and Bernadette Jeffrey, PhD, as assistant state supervisor of Women of the First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of the Church Of God In Christ in Western Pennsylvania. Bishop James M Foster is the Prelate.
On Official Day, Bishop Loran E Mann, prelate, Vermont Jurisdiction, was the keynote speaker to a crowd of approximately 40,000 at the 7:30 p.m. Communion and Bishops’ Consecration Service.
Many Aliquippa residents and Church In the Round members looked on as Rev. Bernard Sylvester Wallace, administrative assistant to Bishop Melvin E. Clark, prelate of the Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction COGIC, was being consecrated to Auxiliary Bishop by the Most Rev. Charles Edward Blake Sr., presiding Bishop and Chief Apostle of the Church Of God In Christ.
