WorldPay Bringing 1200 Jobs to Atlanta

According to reports, a major payment processing company is relocating its world headquarters back to the suburban Atlanta and bringing more thanĀ 1,200 high-paying jobs along with it.
Sandy Springs, Ga.-based WorldPay is moving to Atlanta after the city council approvedĀ $1.5 million from theĀ InvestAtlanta Economic Opportunity Fund tothe company to relocate back region where it began, the AJC and bizjournals.com report.
WorldPay itself will invest $9.6 million in the relocation with positions that, on average, will pay upwards ofĀ $73,317.
WorldPay will generate an estimated $3.4 million annually in new tax income and a total economic impact of $424.6 million, Mayor Kasim Reed’s office stated.
As it stands now, Financial company revenues in Georgia are already in access of $34 billion annually,Ā best in the nation behind only California and New York State.
