Media and real estate tycoon Ted Turner is selling his gorgeous new home — along with the rest of the private island he owns.
CNN founder Ted Turner has called St. Phillips Island off the coast near Beaufort and off the coast of South Carolina his home for the past 35 years.
It’s accessible only by boat and contains acres of white-sand beaches that front the Atlantic Ocean. For all these years, the island has been populated by no one else except Turner and his friends and family.
Turner is now relinquishing the 4,680 acres of picturesque pleasures for the right price. He put up the island for sale for just under $24 million.
