Garrett Popcorn Shops®, “A Chicago Tradition Since 1949,” announces its first-ever Michigan location in Novi’s premier shopping destination – Twelve Oaks Mall. For more than six decades, Garrett Popcorn has handcrafted small batches of its gourmet Popcorn for millions of loyal fans – and its Novi location will now allow Michiganders to also “pop while they shop.”

To celebrate Novi’s grand opening on Sunday, November 9th, Garrett Popcorn is “rolling out the Copper Kettles” with:
- Complimentary Bag Upgrade from a Medium to a Large Bag of Garrett Mix® from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Meet and Greet with Jalen Rose, former professional basketball player and Detroit Native from 11 a.m. to noon
- The First Customer in line will receive a Garrett Popcorn Shops “swag-filled” Blue Striped Signature Tin
- A ribbon cutting ceremony
- A Copper Kettle christening
“I have always been a huge fan of Garrett Popcorn, especially the sweet and savory Garrett Mix! When I’m inChicago, I always grab a Tin for myself as well as some for family and friends,” said Jalen Rose, former professional basketball player and Detroit native. “I’m excited they are bringing this classic taste to the Detroitarea and look forward to celebrating with them at their grand opening.”
The new Garrett Popcorn Shop will continue the 65 year tradition of hot air popping its Signature Blend of non-GMO kernels and handcrafting small batches of gourmet Popcorn throughout the day in old-fashioned copper kettles using only the highest quality ingredients. Customers will be able to choose from many flavor offerings including the Garrett Mix®, which combines the sophisticated sweetness of CaramelCrisp® and the savory goodness of CheeseCorn. The menu also includes CaramelCrisp®, CheeseCorn, Buttery, Plain, Almond CaramelCrisp®, Pecan CaramelCrisp® and Cashew CaramelCrisp®.
