Robber Shoots Gas Station Clerk in the Head in DeKalb Despite Handing Over Cash

DECATUR, Ga. — A robber shot a gas station clerk in the forehead despite the fact the clerk handed over the cash as ordered.
The clerk is reportedly in critical condition after the early-morning robbery turned to violence.
According to DeKalb County Police, the shooting at approximately 3 a.m. at the Texaco station on Flat Shoals Road in DeKalb County.
Shockingly, customers inside the store when the robbery took place, police told the media.
The clerk handed over cash, and the robber shot him in the forehead anyway. The man was taken to Atlanta Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
Police are currently pouring over surveillance video of the incident to see if they can get a clear look at the robbery suspect and tie him to the crime.
As of this reporting, authorities notified the media that a suspect is in custody for questioning, but they declined to state whether he is tied to the shooting on Flat Shoals Road, WSB-TV reports.
