DEARBORN, Mich.— Lincoln Motor Company was the presenting sponsor of the 12thAnnual Run&Shoot Filmworks Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival which took place on Martha’s Vineyard this past weekend. This year marked the first time that Lincoln has collaborated on the festival.
The five day film festival serves as a platform to screen and promote films from emerging and independent African American filmmakers. Director and Lincoln “Journey Series” partner Nelson George was in attendance at the festival and debuted his work in progress film, “A Ballerina’s Tale”, a documentary profiling Misty Copeland.
For Lincoln, teaming up with Run&Shoot Filmworks on the annual Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival provided another opportunity for the brand to show its commitment to the arts as well as the community. Lincoln’s onsite activation included vehicle test drives and displays, including the chance to drive the first-ever Lincoln MKC, Lincoln’s first small premium utility vehicle. As well, Lincoln presented the Lincoln Motor Company Audience Award to Lacey Schwartz for her docu-film, Little White Lie.
