We finally have a new actress to try and play the role of R&B legend Aaliyah in the upcoming Lifetime biopic.
Wendy Williams, who announced that she is coming aboard, confirmed the identity of the young thespian in this tweet below:
Alexandra Shipp, 23, is an rising star who made the daring trek to Los Angeles from Arizona to pursue her acting dreams at the ripe age of 17.
Her biggest role thus has been on Nickelodeon’s “House of Anubis.” But Shipp also had a role in Drumline 2 and she recently was on Showtime’s “Ray Donovan” and she tweeted out this screenshot of her appearance.
Shipp has a bit of a sharp edge to her, as you can see in this tweet about her parentage:
