I’m surprised that tennis star Maria Sharapova even bothered to take a photo with Los Angeles Lakers guard Nick Young. During her interview by Young on the ESPYs red carpet, the French Open tennis champion demeaned his outfit and accessories on national TV, telling him that it was all “too much.”
She was not far off. The very ambitious Young appears to be too thirsty for fame when he has yet to earn that distinction on the basketball court — a place coincidentally where he has also been subjected to ridicule by injured teammate Kobe Bryant. The Laker star, who had to sit out pretty much the entire 2013-2014, told Young that he does not speak to losers as the Lakers were in the midst of a historically bad season.
