There are a few untouchables in American pop culture. Lil Mo just found out that Prince is one of those people who don’t reach out for, under any circumstances, lest you incur the wrath of the masses.
This isn’t Bey Hive level of hate — the fans who jealously guard Beyonce’s throne — but when Mo threw some shade at His Royal Highness, a herd of Purple Rain fans stampeded all over Lil Mo for her transgression.
And the Purple One himself feven toss a verbal grenade in her direction.
Let’s recap shall we: Lil Mo was backstage at the 2014 Essence Music Festival in New Orleans when the sudden urge to relieve herself overwhelmed her. She said she was prevented from entering the restrooms by NOLA police because Prince was about to make his headlining appearance on opening night.
Thinking that Prince was being too extra to demand no movement in the hallways backstage, she fired the first shots via social media. And that’s when the sleeping hornet’s nest was awaken and came after her with venom.
