Police: Man killed by officer pulled 'replica' gun

Deputy Shot
CLARKSTON, Ga. (AP) — Authorities say a metro Atlanta police officer shot and killed a man who pulled out a replica gun that police said looked real.
Interim DeKalb County Police Chief James Conroy tells WSB-TV  that the shooting happened early Friday morning at an apartment complex in Clarkston.
Conroy said officers were called to the complex because of reports that a man was yelling and banging on doors.
Conroy said an officer confronted the man and the suspect pulled out what the officer believed was a gun. Conroy said the officer then shot the man, who later died at Grady Memorial Hospital.
No police officers were hurt in the shooting.
