More facts about R. Kelly's transgender daughter Jaya revealed

R-kelly-and-jaya-kelly-transguyR. Kelly’s daughter Jaya Kelly said that coming out as a transgender boy this past week only represents the beginning of an arduous journey towards continued self-discovery and societal acceptance.
Jaya Kelly, 14, who now goes by the name Jay Kelly, told the media that he has battled despondency that compounds the normal angst and hormonal changes that takes place when adolescents enter that awkward stage known as puberty.
Jay Kelly also said she knew early on who he was at age 6 or 7.
“[My mom] was like, ‘Baby, you know I love you if you were bi, gay, [lesbian], you name it and I would still love you so much,’” he wrote. “She was very proud of me. I was like, ‘Thank you mum for accepting the fact that I’m a transgender,’” he said, according to In Touch Weekly.
Jay Kelly said his path was made a little easier because his siblings offered support and acceptance when he revealed his transgender status.
“And same with my sister, she told me that she was proud of me, and respects me by calling me handsome and calling me her little brother now, and I love her for that, so you know it was great for me.”
As for the brother, Jaya Kelly recited what he said when he was hit with the news: “He was like ‘aye ghee! You gone look beastie in a suit’ lol,” he said.
Unfortunately, the support from his mom and siblings doesn’t characterize the relationship between Jay Kelly and his famous father. In fact, R. Kelly doesn’t even have a relationship at all with Jay, he said.
“I dont know, he lives in Atlanta, he probably does know though,” Jay said in one answer.
Jay said no one in the family, except the son have any real communication with R. Kelly.
It’s hard to believe that R. Kelly hasn’t learned of what Jay Kelly’s transition by now, knowing how ubiquitous and influential social media has become. Having said that, Jay Kelly  subtly indicates that he could use his father’s support because what the teen is going through is not easy, not by a long shot.
“It’s very complicated, [it’s one] of the things that come with being transgender, you’re always depressed,” Jay said adding, “You cry, A LOT.”
