Senator admits Obama treated horribly because he's black

Jay-Rockefeller-retire_full_600Age emboldens people to rid themselves of the normal filters that everyone else operates with. So t’s no coincidence that Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-W. Va.), who is retiring after 30 years, would say what most people in urban America already knows.
Rockefeller endorsed Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton in the Democratic primary. And he says the reason Obama has received such fierce opposition during his two terms is because of one reason and one reason only: he’s black.
A few weeks ago, he told witnesses at one Finance hearing that there was plenty to reform, but too much opposition to the president was racial. “For some, it’s we don’t want anything good to happen under this president because he’s the wrong color,” he said. “For some it’s Tea Party. For some it’s just a fear of their own election prospects.”
It’s not like we didn’t already know this, but nice to have this confirmed from someone who is in the political trenches for the past three decades — and is the product of one of the most famous American dynasties boot — and can speak freely and openly.
