Church Anniversary
MAY 18—Carrone Baptist Church, 7119 Frankstown Ave., Homewood, will host its 129th Church Anniversary at 10:30 a.m. The theme is “There is more that I required thee.” There will be a repast after the morning service followed by an afternoon service at 3 p.m. with Rev. Women’s Day
MAY 18—First Baptist Penn Hills, 7450 Chadwick St., Penn Hills, will host its Women’s Day Celebration at 10:45 a.m. The guest preacher will be Rev. Woman’s Day
MAY 18—Morningside Baptist Church, 4846 Sullivan St., Garfield, will host its Annual Woman’s Day Celebration at 11 a.m. The guest speaker will be Marcella Moore of Greater Works Outreach Church. There will also be a 3 p.m. service with Sister Denise White of Showers of Blessings Ministry, along with her congregation and choir. All are welcomed.

Annual Day Celebration
MAY 18—The Presbyterian Women of Grace Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1000 Bryn Mawr Rd., will host its Annual Day Celebration at 11 a.m. The theme is “An Abiding and Everlasting Hope (The Presence of God).” Kimberly Merrill, director of the Metro Urban Institute of the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Deaconate Ordination
MAY 18—Sixth Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 6556 Shetland St., East Liberty, will host its Deaconate Ordination at 3:30 p.m. Deacons in Training Tommie Nell Taylor and Rochelle Johnson will be elevated during this monumental occasion.  These are the first females to be ordained in this church. Spring Revival
MAY 19—Mount Carmel Baptist Church, 90 Port Perry Rd., North Versailles, will host its Spring Revival at 7 p.m. The four-day event, which runs through May 22, will feature guest revivalist, author and musician Rev. Marriage Retreat
MAY 22—The One Flesh Marriage Ministry of Dream Christian Center will host “Rekindling the Fire!” 2014 Marriage Retreat at Olgebay Resort, 465 Lodge Dr., Wheeling, W. Va. The three-day event will be hosted by Pastor Leroy and Lady Bilan Thompson and feature a weekend full of love and romance. Pastor Earlene Coleman will speak on “The Power of Love & Forgiveness;” Pastor Tyus Nedd will speak on “The Importance of Quality Time;” and Pastor Leroy Thompson will speak on “Rekindling the Fire.” Registration is required.
