Academy Award winning actress Miss Lupita Nyong’o has been breaking through color barriers and inspiring women everywhere to be there very best them…this is no secret.  But now she is going to be endorsed by a company that has not ever been known for having a black woman as their spokesperson! As according to Eben Gregory, Lancome just made her a sweet offer to represent their cosmetic line. Lupita will be the first black woman to be the face of the brand.

    In a statement  Lupita said,

“What appealed to me about Lancôme is that they’re not dictating what beauty is. Hopefully it’s a symbiotic relationship that I benefit from being associated with them and they benefit from being associated with me, as well. And for the consumer at large, I think Lancôme has a range of products for every woman, and I think having me will expand people’s understanding of, hopefully, what Lancôme stands for, who Lancôme is for.”

We are happy for Lupita and are excited to see what this new campaign will do for her as well! Salute!
