ABC’s ‘Scandal’ takes the No.1 spot on Top 25 Black TV Ratings chart

Black TV Ratings for Week of March 3 – 9

Without having to compete as it did last week with The Oscars, ABC’s hit political drama, Scandal, easily took the No.1 spot on the Top 25 chart of most popular shows in Black homes. Its 3.2 million viewers was the week’s largest Black audience for any broadcast or cable show, and represented nearly 18 percent of all Black households.
CBS continued to be the most watched network in Black homes, with 14 million viewers across 12 shows on the Top 25. ABC had 8.7 million for five of its programs, NBC hooked 4.6 million for four shows, and Fox managed only 3.3 million for three prime time favorites.
The total number of viewers for the Top 25 during the first week of March, according to Nielsen, was down 13 percent to 32.3 million.
