Wow! We don’t think anyone including Chris Brown saw this coming! According to TMZ, Breezy was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, severe insomnia and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder while he was in treatment at his anger management rehab and that’s why he has had such anger issues.
Chris was in court today for a progress hearing in the Rihanna beating case. Documents were filed by the facility where Chris just completed 90 days of anger management therapy. As we previously reported, Chris stayed longer than the required 90 days and he reportedly just completed his 95th day in treatment.
An official from the rehab facility writes that in addition to his diagnosis Chris was “self-medicating” inappropriately.
Says the treatment facility,
“Mr. Brown became aggressive and acted out physically due to his untreated mental health disorder, severe sleep deprivation, inappropriate self-medicating and untreated PTSD.”
It was never explained what the exact cause of the PTSD was but we do know that there was alleged abuse that Brown claimed to have witnessed in his childhood.
But even bigger than the PTSD diagnosis was the Bipolar II diagnosis.
TMZ reports that the letter says Chris is on meds for the bipolar and other conditions.
The facility claims that they have been teaching Brown various relaxation exercises and he’s tested negative for drugs ( including weed) during his stay at rehab.
The program says overall Chris is doing really well. They say he gets up at 5 AM and works hard and that he’s been especially good with community service, saying,
“Mr. Brown’s attitude has been beyond exemplary in regard to his community service responsibilities.”
To some this may sound like bad news for Chris Brown…but we are actually happy for him. Because it is now understood what is going on inside of him. This means that he will be able to even himself out and to continue to get the help that he obviously so drastically needed. This should be the beginning of something good for him. This can all be dealt with..managed and he can get back to living the life that he wants to live…that he was meant to live!
So we say SALUTE to you Breezy for doing the work and allowing yourself to give of yourself to your program. This is the right road for you to be on…and we’re sure that in the end you are going to emerge stronger and better than ever before! Go get em!
