Atlanta City Council President Ceasar C. Mitchell to Be Honored During AT&T 'I Am the Dream' Celebration

Ceasar_Mitchell_homes.jpgAtlanta City Council President Ceasar C. Mitchell will be honored by AT&T during the company’s 2014 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. commemorative celebration at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 16th at the AT&T Midtown II Auditorium, located at 725 W. Peachtree Street, Atlanta.
The theme for the 2014 celebration is “I am the Dream: Legends of a New Era”. During the event, AT&T will honor six leaders for their accomplishments as it relates to inclusion and diversity, and Dr. King’s dream. The honorees include Council President Mitchell; Neera Bahl, Regional President, US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce (USPAACC) Southeast Region; Jerry Gonzalez, Executive Director, GALEO; and Elisabeth Omilami, CEO, Hosea Feed the Hungry.
“I am truly humbled to be recognized by AT&T during the 2014 King celebration,” said Council President Mitchell “My co-honorees are making incredible strides in metro Atlanta and I am honored to be in their company.”
Previous honorees include, Ambassador Andrew Young, Xernona Clayton, Dr. Christine King Ferris and Dr. C.T. Vivian.
The event will include music by The Alliance Theatre Singers and a panel discussion, entitled “A Conversation with Legends”, facilitated by 11Alive News reporter/anchor, Demarco Morgan.
