MARTA Announces New Years Service

marta_logo.jpegIt’s time to say goodbye to 2013 and welcome the New Year with MARTA!  For only $2.50 each way (plus a $1 charge to purchase a Breeze card), MARTA is an easier, more convenient way to all of the festivities.
Customers are encouraged to purchase a roundtrip fare at the start of their trip to avoid long lines on the return. Remember, one Breeze card per person, and riders must tap to enter and exit stations.
Parking for less than 24 hours is free at all of MARTA’s daily parking facilities. Customers parking in the decks at Lindbergh Center Station must park in MARTA designated areas and validate their parking ticket at machines inside the station in order to receive free daily parking.  Please note that MARTA has some designated lots which charge a fee.
For the Peach Drop at Underground Atlanta, take the Red, Gold or Blue Lines to Five Points Station. The Chick-fil-A Bowl and Fanfare are easily accessible by the Dome/GWCC/Philips Arena/CNN Center Station on the Blue Line, as is the Widespread Panic concert at Philips Arena.

On the Blue and Green Lines, trains will run every 15 minutes throughout the day. Green Line trains will run only from Bankhead Station to Vine City Station starting at approximately 6 p.m. Green Line trains will operate until 2 a.m.
MARTA bus service will be operating on a modified Saturday schedule on New Year’s Eve, with normal Saturday bus service in addition to Routes 24, 143 and 148 operating on their weekday schedules on New Year’s Eve; those routes do not normally operate on the weekend.
From 12:30 to 3 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, Bus Routes 1, 16, 51 and 110 will be rerouted for the Chick-fil-A Bowl Parade.
