Kendrick “Control verse” Lamar, rounded out his 2013 with seven Grammy nominations for “good kid m.A.A.d city” including Best New Artist and Album of The Year, a category that only two hip-hop acts – Lauryn Hill and OutKast – have won.
Top Dawg Entertainment’s top dog chopped it up backstage at Power 106′s Cali Christmas concert, in which he talked about his successful year and his reaction to J.Cole’s “TKO” verse.
“I texted him,” K.Dot said laughing. “He was in character. He did what he did best: played off words.”
