Atlanta City Council President, Grammy-nominated Super Producer and Charles Schwab Bank to Empower Students at J.E. Brown Middle School

Ceasar_Mitchell_homes.jpgAtlanta City Council President Ceasar C. Mitchell will partner with Grammy-nominated super producer Kevin “KHAO” Cates, and event sponsor Schwab & Co., Inc./Charles Schwab Bank, to present the Bridge DA Gap “Holiday School Bonanza” to students at J. E. Brown Middle School at 2:30 p.m. (today), Thursday, December 12.
Bridge DA Gap was developed by Cates as a way to help today’s youth deal with issues such as peer-pressure, bullying, gang violence and drugs. Bridge DA Gap uses hip-hop music, interactive simulations and real life stories to engage students and offer effective solutions to their challenges.
“I am extremely proud to partner with KHAO on this exciting program,” said Council President Mitchell. “I hope that the presentation helps give students the tools they need to overcome obstacles and actively pursue their goals.”
“I am grateful to Ty Gibson, Vice President & Branch Manager, Atlanta Metro branch, Charles Schwab & Co., Inc./Charles Schwab Bank, for their generous sponsorship. The sponsorship is a wonderful example of their commitment to the Atlanta community,” Mitchell said.
The presentation at Brown Middle School will feature performances by Cates, as well as CD, poster and tee-shirt giveaways.
The Bridge DA Gap presentation is part of a more extensive 19-week curriculum available to schools and community groups.
